Condo on the Bay is a pair of condominium towers on Sarasota Bay at 888 to 988 Boulevard of the Arts, at the north end of downtown Sarasota. Together the two towers hold about 300 residences, and the buildings date to 1982.
Residences run from about 1,550 to about 2,300 square feet, many facing the bay and the sunsets over the barrier islands. Shared amenities include two resort-style pools, a lighted tennis court, four lighted pickleball courts, exercise rooms, boat docks and kayak racks and lifts. A gate is staffed around the clock, and each tower has a concierge. Recent asking prices have run from about $900,000 to about $2.1 million.
The opera, ballet, museums and downtown restaurants are within walking distance, and Lido Key and St. Armands Circle are across the Ringling Bridge. Before you write an offer, I recommend reviewing the condominium documents, the budget and the details of any special assessment.
