Burnt Store Isles is in the southern part of the city of Punta Gorda, southeast of the main Punta Gorda Isles canals. Like Punta Gorda Isles, it was laid out in the boom that began in the late 1950s with canals connected to Charlotte Harbor, and its land was platted as Punta Gorda Isles Sections 15 and 18. The neighborhood is inside the city limits.
The land is flat and threaded with seawalled saltwater canals. The city's Burnt Store Isles canal district maintains 18 miles of seawall and dredges 9 miles of canals, and the system includes a boat lock and the Burnt Store Inlet. The neighborhood has about 1,850 single-family homes, many of them on a canal, along with villa condominiums such as Villas of Burnt Store Isles, Villa Grande at Burnt Store Isles and Vizcaya at Burnt Store Isles. Most homes date from the 1980s onward.
Canal lots are in the Burnt Store Isles Canal Maintenance Assessment District, which pays for seawall repair, dredging and mangrove trimming. Punta Gorda Airport is about 11 minutes away by car, downtown Punta Gorda about 12 minutes and Southwest Florida International Airport about 47 minutes south.

Janelle is fantastic. We recently were able to sell our home in one week at 1% over asking price. I believe that the professional photos and staging coupled with Janelle helping us price competitively led to this success. We closed in one month and are so very grateful for Janelle and her help with the sale of our property.

Janelle did a great job selling our house. We have worked with 4 realtors over the past 19 years in FL, and she was by far the best. She is very knowledgeable about the real estate market, and was great at communicating with us throughout the sales process. Her responses to our emails and texts were very detailed and timely. She was also very proactive with recommendations on how to get our house ready for sale, and she went above and beyond to make sure our house was sparkling clean and staged appropriately to make sure our house stood out compared to others.
