About South Poinsettia Park
South Poinsettia Park is a West of the Trail neighborhood in the City of Sarasota, between South Osprey Avenue and U.S. 41 from Hyde Park Street south to Jasmine Drive. Many of its 19 streets carry flower names, and the neighborhood of about 380 homes celebrated its centennial in 2025.
Homes span a century of Sarasota building. There are Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean Revival homes from the 1920s and 1930s, mid-century homes in the spirit of the Sarasota School of Architecture, 1950s and 1960s ranch homes and bungalows, and large new homes built on older lots. Homes sold for about $299,900 to $4,490,000 in the last two years.
Southside Village, with its markets, restaurants and shops, sits just north, and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and downtown Sarasota are close by. The voluntary South Poinsettia Park Neighborhood Association is not an HOA and sets no deed restrictions.

South Poinsettia Park is in the City of Sarasota West of the Trail, between South Osprey Avenue and U.S. 41. It runs from Hyde Park Street, just south of Sarasota Memorial Hospital, to Jasmine Drive, two blocks south of Siesta Drive. Southside Village is just to the north.

No. The South Poinsettia Park Neighborhood Association is voluntary and places no deed restrictions on homes. It works with the city on projects such as street paving and lighting.
