About Rustic Lodge
Rustic Lodge is one of the oldest sections of Arlington Park, the central Sarasota neighborhood just east of Southside Village and Sarasota Memorial Hospital. It was platted in 1925, when this area belonged to the short-lived town of Sarasota Heights, and the original subdivision stretched from Bahia Vista Street south to Waldemere Street and from Euclid Avenue west to Shade Avenue.
The homes are single-family houses. Modest older homes, some from the 1920s, stand beside larger new homes, giving the neighborhood a wide range of sizes, from about 950 to 3,350 square feet. Prices over the last two years ran from about $385,000 to $2.2 million.
The shops and restaurants of Southside Village, downtown Sarasota and the Siesta Key bridges are a short drive away. The Arlington Park Neighborhood Association takes an active interest in historic preservation and in how new homes fit the neighborhood.

Rustic Lodge was platted in 1925, when the area was part of the town of Sarasota Heights, which joined the city of Sarasota in 1926. Several of its streets have been renamed: Euclid was once Robert, Jefferson was Harriette and Shade was Brown Street.
