About The Sanctuary at Longboat Key Club
The Sanctuary is a Gulf front condominium community inside the gated Longboat Key Club at the south end of Longboat Key, with its office at 537 Sanctuary Drive. It is made up of four condominium buildings, Sanctuary I, II, III and IV, built from about 1989 to 1991, with a community association that runs the shared grounds.
Two beach walkways lead to the Gulf. The grounds have a large lap pool, a spa, tennis courts and a smaller pool, and the clubhouse has a full kitchen, party room and fitness center. Most buildings have their own card room. Leases must run at least 90 consecutive days, with one lease a year, and owners may keep one pet under 30 pounds with approval. A gatehouse issues guest and tenant passes.

Can I rent out a Sanctuary condo?
Yes, but each lease must run at least 90 consecutive days, only one lease may start in a calendar year, and the tenant must be approved by the association in advance.
Are pets allowed at the Sanctuary?
Owners may keep one dog or cat under 30 pounds with written approval from the community association. Tenants may not have pets.
Why are there two association fees?
Each owner pays the condominium association for their building, Sanctuary I, II, III or IV, and the Sanctuary Community Association for the shared grounds. Both are billed together each quarter.
