Tortuga is a small gated neighborhood in Wellen Park, the master-planned community in Venice in southern Sarasota County. It sits off U.S. 41 near Costco, about 2 miles from Downtown Wellen. The neighborhood is built out, so every home for sale is a resale.
The homes were built between 2021 and 2023, including homes by Lennar. They are single-family houses on streets such as Tortuga Cay Drive, Balfour Street and Fishhawk Trail, ranging from three-bedroom, two-bath plans with a 2-car garage to homes of about 3,200 square feet, and some enjoy water views. Over the last two years, homes here sold for about $325,000 to $679,000.
For everyday errands and evenings out, the restaurants and shops of Downtown Wellen and the 2.8-mile trail around Grand Lake are a short drive away, and U.S. 41 leads north to Venice and south to North Port.
