Shore Acres is a neighborhood in the north part of the City of Anna Maria, platted in an original section, four additions and a resubdivision. County property records show about 210 single-family homes, most on North Shore Drive, Jacaranda Road and Bay Boulevard, with more on Gladiolus Street and the short streets named for flowers, Fern, Rose, Alamanda, Holly and Poinsettia. Homes date from 1946 to houses still being finished in 2026.
Older cottages remain alongside elevated new homes. The City of Anna Maria sets its own building rules and requires a vacation rental registration and inspection for any home rented to visitors.
