About Whispering Sands
Whispering Sands is a condominium community on Siesta Key, set on about 25 acres on the Gulf of Mexico between Siesta Beach and Siesta Key Village. It was created in the late 1960s and early 1970s and has 267 units in two high-rise towers, three mid-rise buildings and 51 individual villas.
The grounds include two swimming pools, a clubhouse, a tiki hut and a large natural lagoon, and the beach is right outside. The Village, with its restaurants, cafes and shops, is a short walk away, and the bridges to the mainland lead to downtown Sarasota, the Ringling Museum, Selby Gardens and the Van Wezel.
Whispering Sands is an over-55, pet-free community. Recent units have been about 1,270 to 1,530 square feet, and prices over the last two years have run about $450,000 to $1,199,000. An active social committee plans events through the year.
What to know before you buy in Whispering Sands
- I will confirm the HOA and any CDD fees, what they cover, and whether a transfer fee applies at closing.
