About Mira Mar and Siesta Point
Mira Mar is the old beach plat at the north end of Siesta Beach, where Beach Road meets Avenida Messina near Siesta Key Village. The Mira Mar Beach subdivision runs from Avenida Messina to Columbus Boulevard between Beach Road and the Gulf, and its Gulf shore is known as Siesta Point.
Sarasota County's Siesta Key Beach Accesses 2 and 3 open to the sand here. Siesta Point is the start of the closed littoral cell that carries sand from Big Sarasota Pass south along the island to Point of Rocks. Homes range from older beach houses to new Gulf front residences, and the Village shops and restaurants are a short walk away.

Is the beach here part of Siesta Beach?
It is the same stretch of quartz sand. Siesta Point marks the start of the Siesta Key closed littoral cell, which runs from the entrance of Big Sarasota Pass south to Point of Rocks.
